Hello everybody, and welcome to the James4MYP campaign! On this website, I shall keep you updated with how I get on in the election campaign for the North Lincolnshire member of Youth Parliament.
But first, some basic info about the UKYP: it was formed to give young people in the UK a chance to share their views, and bring about change. It is the job of MYPs to bring up these matters at the Annual Sitting, which takes place in either the House of Commons or the House of Lords. I'll be updating this website in the future, with more and more coming nearer the election time. I'm currently working on an 'About Me' and a 'Manifesto' page.
Over the next twelve months, I'll be on the election campaign road ready for the elections this time next year. I'm relying on your votes to make a difference. There have been years of inefficiency by previous MYPs for this constituency, meaning that you cannot have your say. This is one of the many things I'd like to change.
